This is a New Old Stock (NOS) non-assembled kit. Each kit comes in original packaging with all parts and pieces accounted for. Includes original manufactures paperwork.

Model Details

The Proto 2000 series by Life-Like (later branded under WalthersProto) was a higher-end HO-scale line aimed at offering detailed, accurate scale models compared to basic hobby-grade cars.

Model Characteristics (typical for PS2-CD 4427 Proto 2000 cars):

Prototype Information

The 4427 PS2-CD High Side Covered Hopper was a designed and built by Pullman-Standard beginning in the mid-1960s as part of their PS2-CD series. These cars were engineered for hauling dry bulk commodities (especially grain and similar products) in a more efficient covered hopper than older boxcars. These cars were a staple of North American freight service and were painted in many railroad and private owner schemes.
